L'africaine

Vasco da Gama returns to a Portugal seething with political intrigue and hypocrisy to reclaim his love and to mount a new expedition in search of a passage to Africa. The tale is complicated by unrequited love, jealousy and hatred and comes full circle on an unexplored island off the coast of Africa
