Date from English short title catalogue Attributed to Fréret in the prelim. Avis à lìmprimeur. Sometimes also attributed to the baron d' Holbach and J.A. Naigeon. Cf. Vercruysse, J. Holbach, p. 38-39 Attributed to Fréret in the Avis, but authorship much discussed. ESTC (RLIN) attributes to the baron d'Holbach, but this attribution is refuted by J. Vercruysse, Holbach, p. 38-39, who attributes the work to Fréret.
